Obituary for Letha "Leatha" Perdue

Letha Young Perdue was born to the parents of the late Mr. Rosevelt Young Sr. and Mrs. Alvonia Oatman Young of Twiggs County. Letha attended public school in Jeffersonville, Ga. At an early age she became a faithful member of Old Marion Baptist Church where she accepted our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Letha was preceded in death by her late husband, Edward Perdue; Four brothers: Seaborn Young, Rosevelt Young Jr, Willie Young, and Bobby L. Young; and one sister: Beatrice Young white.

Letha loved and adored her family. She leaves to cherish two loving daughters: Pamela Taylor (Cleveland, OH) and Patricia Taylor (Toledo, OH); one granddaughter, Janay Connell (Toledo, OH) who she adored very much; and two stepsons Curtis and Donnie Perdue; three sisters: Ethel Ophelia Austin (Roberta, GA), Shirley (JR) Hagins (Macon, GA) and Betty Young Coxton of Macon, GA; two brothers: Ulysses (Patricia) Young (Miami, FL) and Tommy (Jessie) Young (Macon, GA), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Letha was a beautiful soul that loved God and serving in her church. She was a faithful member of Starlight Missionary Baptist Church and served as a nurse. She enjoyed every moment of working in the kitchen to serve the people. Letha also loved children and had a passion for taking care of them.
